Our Values

Individual: We look at the process of each child and create an individualized strategy for their situation, one child at a time.

Hope: We understand the challenges that children face, but we look forward into the future with great hope, showing the opportunities they can have.

Tenacity: Boldness that leads us to advocacy, to raise our voices in situations of injustice, with perseverance and courage.

Holistic Family Restoration: We focus on the child’s development, but we seek family restoration, that’s why we always work with the family, not just for them.

Spiritual Mentoring: Faith is a crucial capacity for human flourishing. For this reason, we walk in relationship with the children, accompanying them and encouraging them in the expression of their faith.

Empowerment: We seek to transform the mentality acquired in a context of poverty to show them that it is possible to overcome and grow in their own potential. We do this by identifying and developing the child’s abilities, creating interdependence to pursue their dreams and goals in order to have a better future.

Omega

Hello, I’m Omega Garcia. I’m 33 years old and from Mexico.

I have a degree in Business Development and Innovation as an Engineer. I came to know God at 7 years old. With my relationship with God, I decided to dedicate my life to serve Him, leaving my city and my family to focus in missions full-time.

One of the places I specifically felt called to was Cerro Del 8, where for 8 years I’ve been investing in creating relationships with the community in a deeper way. My desire is to impact the society and the families that are most vulnerable in Mazatlan.

In my country, I worked in different areas with children and God put it on my heart to serve children of different countries as well. God brought me to Mexico. My desire is to bring children and adolescents to the feet of Jesus to have an encounter with Him. Along with this, I want to work to intervene in situations where there is mistreatment and sexual abuse of children when it is necessary. I want to be a voice for those that need one.

Colter

Hello I’m Colter, I’m 21 years old, and I’m from St. Louis, Missouri in the USA.

I’m currently taking an internship to join full-time staff in Racham.

I have felt in the past few years God has given me a heart to love on and disciple the next generation, especially here in the Cerro del 8 community. My desire is to share with them the love and blessings that God has shared with me.

Right now, my main focus is with the adolescent boys of Racham. I am seeking to guide and disciple them as well as being a constant friend and mentor that they can count on and trust. I also help out with the kids and their classes throughout the week.

JessMarie

Jessica

Hello, I’m Jessica Gross from the United States, I’m 33 years old, and I have a degree in Graphic and Web Design. Recently, I joined full-time serving in Racham in various areas, including working on the website for Racham as well as helping the teachers with the children’s activities and classes during the week.

My heart has always been for children, to give them a chance to be heard, loved, and valued. I want to do this through allowing them to share their stories and testimonies on the Racham website, and also through teaching them the truth about how much they are heard, loved, and valued through God’s Word.

Our Volunteers

Ricardo

Ricardo

Hello my name is Ricardo, I am 15 years old and I am from Mazatlan, Sinaloa.

Since I was little, God used Racham to impact my life. Now, I want to be a tool of God to impact the lives of the children and youth in this ministry. Today I am in high school, and I also volunteer at Racham on Tuesdays teaching physical activities, like soccer for the children. I also help with the adolescent’s community group, where we share the word and spend quality time with them.

A fun fact about me is that since I was a child I have had a passion for soccer, and 2 years ago God gave me the opportunity to be in a club where I still play, one of my dreams is to be a professional soccer player or study something related to physical education or soccer.
